The Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) held its annual Policy Summit on September 23 in Bismarck, where it presented three awards to recognize significant contributions to the state's business community.
Representative Ty Dressler received the Freshman of the Year Award. This honor is given to a legislator who demonstrates openness, collaboration, and dedication to business-friendly policies during their first session. GNDC acknowledged Dressler for his willingness to learn, constructive engagement, and focus on creating policy solutions that benefit both businesses and government.
Senator Kristin Roers was awarded the Legislative Vision Award. The GNDC revived this award after it had not been presented since 1999. Senator Roers was recognized for her leadership during the 69th Legislative Assembly, particularly for her efforts in defending free enterprise and supporting pro-growth policies. She achieved a 100% GNDC Chamber Champion score for her stance on regulatory responsibility and economic expansion.
For the first time, GNDC introduced the North Dakota Legislator’s Choice Business Award. Fix It Forward Auto Care was selected as this year’s recipient following a nomination by Representative TJ Brown. Under Matt Carlson's leadership, Fix It Forward Auto Care has demonstrated business growth and innovation while maintaining a strong commitment to employees and community service.
Arik Spencer, President & CEO of GNDC, commented on the significance of these recognitions: “These honorees reflect the best of North Dakota’s business community and leadership. Whether it’s through public service at the Capitol or through innovation and impact in the private sector, their work strengthens our state,” said Spencer. “We’re proud to partner with leaders like these who are committed to building a stronger North Dakota.”
