U.S. Department of Education awards over $2 million to six North Dakota colleges

The U.S. Department of Education has allocated more than $2.1 million to support student services at six colleges in North Dakota. The funding, totaling $2,139,556, comes from the Student Support Services Program and is intended to help students meet basic college requirements and encourage them to complete their degrees.

The distribution of funds includes $523,609 for North Dakota State University, $416,200 for the University of North Dakota, $348,514 for the University of Mary, $306,505 for Lake Region State College, and $272,364 each for Minot State University and Turtle Mountain Community College.

According to the Department of Education, the Student Support Services Program aims to provide resources that will assist students as they work toward earning their degrees.
