The North Dakota State Fair says "Thank You" to military families by providing discounts on Tuesday, July 26. Activities and offers include:

- A free roast beef picnic from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. sponsored by the ND Beef Commission in partnership with the ND Stockmen’s Association and ND CattleWomen. This event is the 15th Annual Beef Industry Military Appreciation Picnic and is for active duty, reserve and National Guard members and their families. It will be located behind Commercial II building in the NE corner of the fairgrounds.
- Free carnival rides from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- An unlimited daily carnival ride pass for $40. This can be purchased at the Midway Carnival.
- Half off adult only NPRA Championship Bull Riding for the 7 p.m. show ($8.00 value).
- Half off daily unlimited ride wristband for July 26 only ($20.00 value).
- Electronic coupons will NOT be accepted. The paper coupons can be picked up at the Minot Area Chamber EDC between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or on July 26 between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center (2200 Burdick Expressway - across from the fairgrounds). There will be a tent set up and a sign to help identify the location.
