For the past four years, the North Dakota LGBTQ+ Summit has been held in Mandan, ND, or virtually drawing participants and presenters from across the state and nation. Since its conception, the ND LGBTQ+ Summit has worked to provide opportunities to establish statewide community-building connections and to share information on issues important to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, 2-Spirit, and queer North Dakotans. The summit has brought together many from our community and our allies from all across North Dakota; Williston to Grand Forks and in 2019, attendees ranged from high school student groups to senior citizens.
By attending the summit individuals and groups with rural ND roots and larger cities have been able to gather together to celebrate and be visible; to engage with one another, build healthy communities, and learn from each other. It cannot be understated what it means to have representation and camaraderie from across North Dakota at this once-a-year event. The 5th Annual ND LGBTQ+ Summit will be held October 14-16, 2022, at the Baymont Inn in Mandan, ND. Over three days, attendees will hear from several local, regional, and national presenters.
