Mariah Achtenberg's design selected for 2025 Earth Day patch

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department has revealed the winners of its 2025 Earth Day Patch Contest. This year, the contest saw participation from over 1,600 students spanning 100 schools.

The winners are divided into four age categories. Tryg Klindworth from Beulah won for grades K-3. In grades 4-6, Mariah Achtenberg from White Shield was the winner, and her design was selected as the overall winner to be featured as this year’s Earth Day patch. Jazmin Vasquez from Minot Bishop Ryan claimed the prize for grades 7-9, while Brielle Volk from Mohall took the win for grades 10-12.

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department actively encourages students to engage in creative projects like the Earth Day Patch Contest.
