The U.S. Department of Transportation has granted more than $9 million to the North Dakota Department of Transportation for roadway repairs. The funding, totaling $9,413,942, comes from the Federal Highway Administration’s Emergency Relief Program.

This program is designed to help states repair roads, bridges, and other infrastructure that have been damaged by natural disasters such as flooding. The funds will support North Dakota in restoring transportation routes affected by recent weather events.

According to the DOT, the Emergency Relief Program aims to provide timely financial assistance for eligible repairs and reconstruction after major incidents.
