Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) has received the America's Best Customer Service award from USA Today and Plant-A Insights Group. The recognition is based on one of the largest independent customer experience studies in the United States, which gathered feedback from over 67,000 consumers and included 687,000 reviews.

“This recognition speaks directly to the trust and confidence our members place in us every day,” said Dan Conrad, president and CEO of BCBSND. “Customer service and providing a great experience are core to our mission and foundational to our team culture. Our dedicated customer care teams make that possible, and we’re honored to know that the care and responsiveness of our employees is being noticed on a national scale.”

The 2025 awards highlight 600 companies across 44 industries that excel in customer service. Customers evaluated their experiences in areas such as friendliness, professional competence, speed, transparency, availability, solution orientation, and reliability.

In addition to this award, BCBSND has been recognized for its efforts in mental health care and workplace culture. The organization was among the first in the country to receive URAC Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder Parity Accreditation, reflecting its focus on accessible mental health services. BCBSND was also named one of Prairie Business’s Top 50 Best Places to Work for its positive workplace environment and community involvement. Furthermore, it received the United Way of Cass-Clay Philly GOAT Award as the most generous workplace for its philanthropic contributions.
