Commodity Councils and Ag Associations plan joint meeting in Bismarck on November 17

The Commodity Councils and Ag Associations are scheduled to hold a joint meeting on Monday, November 17, at the Bismarck Municipal Country Club in Bismarck, North Dakota. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m.

According to the agenda, the event will start with a welcome and call to order. Reports from various commodity groups are set for 10:20 a.m., followed by an adjournment for lunch at 11:30 a.m.

After lunch, Deputy Commissioner Tom Bodine of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture will provide updates on department programs beginning at 12:30 p.m. At 12:45 p.m., Jeb Williams, Director of the North Dakota Game & Fish Department, is scheduled to present information about a proposed Land Enhancement Program.

An update from Burlington Northern Santa Fe will be given by Matt White, Assistant Vice President of Agricultural Products at BNSF, starting at 1:15 p.m. Daryl Ritchinson, Director of the North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network (NDAWN) and State Climatologist, will discuss the weather outlook for 2026 at 1:45 p.m.

Frayne Olson, Professor and Crops Economist at North Dakota State University (NDSU), is expected to provide a market outlook beginning at 2:30 p.m. The meeting will conclude with a wrap-up and adjournment at 3:15 p.m.
