Every state across the nation has seen a drop in its economy since February 2020.

By November, the latest data reveals that a total of 17 states experienced job loss from October and the rest saw a decline in job growth.

In December alone, the country lost 140,000 jobs and was down almost 10 million jobs since February.

North Dakota saw a loss of 32,800 jobs between February and November, which was a 7.4 percent drop.

Between October and November, the state's workforce fell by 2,000 jobs and lost 0.5 percent of the labor force it had.

Experts say that the nation needs to tackle COVID-19 to improve the country's economic standing.

One of the hardest-hit sectors is the accommodation and food services industry, which lost 19.2 percent of its workforce, or 2.8 million jobs.

The arts, entertainment, and recreation industry lost 27.9 percent of its workforce, or 690,000 jobs as of November.
