ND Dept of Emergency Services issued the following announcement.
After a couple weekends of erratic weather across the state, it is hard to believe that summer is right around the corner, but it is! And this week, Governor Doug Burgum has proclaimed Severe Summer Weather Awareness Week in North Dakota.
Today, we're talking thunderstorms and a little refresher on WATCH and WARNING terminology:
A Severe Thunderstorm WATCH means Be Prepared. Stay informed and be ready to act, because severe thunderstorms are possible.
A Severe Thunderstorm WARNING means Take Action! Take shelter in a strong building, because severe weather is occurring or will occur shortly.
