After attending a National Emergency Number Association (NENA) conference in June in Louisville, Kentucky, State Radio Supervisors Miranda Jangula and Shanna Johnson are now the only dispatchers in North Dakota to have attained the organization’s Excellence in Dispatching certification. According to NENA, the Excellence in Dispatching Certificate takes telecommunicators beyond their initial entry-level training to become star performers in their 9-1-1 centers and better assist the public who rely on 9-1-1’s life-saving services. The certificate program empowers telecommunicators — both new and experienced — to grow, succeed, and save lives.

Congratulations, Miranda and Shanna!

You can read more about the certification in the latest edition of NDDES Insights, which will be sent out and posted tomorrow.
