Senator John Hoeven addressed the North Dakota Association of Student Councils state conference, expressing gratitude to students for their leadership roles and urging them to face generational challenges. Hoeven engaged in a question and answer session with student leaders, covering priorities significant to both North Dakota and the U.S.

“North Dakota’s students are the future of our state and nation. It takes drive and determination for young people to pursue leadership roles, and we appreciate the contributions they already make to their communities,” stated Hoeven. He emphasized discussions on ensuring opportunities for students to follow their passions and build prosperous lives, highlighting efforts such as expanding STEM education, supporting entrepreneurs, and improving college affordability.

Hoeven outlined initiatives aimed at increasing training opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields to prepare students for careers in essential future industries.
