The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has announced an award of $2,464,533 to Standing Rock Telecommunications, Inc. This funding is part of the Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program (TBCP) and aims to pre-pay broadband services for tribal homes. Additionally, it will purchase end-user equipment for those in need.
The project includes a collaboration with a tribal college to provide an internship opportunity for a student during their studies.
