Construction work is set to commence on April 1 at the Sterling Interchange, Exit 182, on Interstate 94 in Bismarck, North Dakota. This project involves replacing a bridge on U.S. Highway 83/North Dakota Highway 14, which will necessitate its closure and a traffic detour.

During construction, the interchange ramps will remain accessible. However, traffic heading north on U.S. 83 towards northbound ND 14 or westbound I-94 will be rerouted to the Driscoll Interchange at Exit 190. From there, northbound ND 14 traffic can use the off-ramp at the Sterling Interchange at Exit 182 to proceed north.

Similarly, southbound traffic on ND 14 aiming for southbound U.S. 83 or eastbound I-94 will be redirected to the McKenzie Interchange at Exit 176. Southbound U.S. 83 travelers can then take the off-ramp at the Sterling Interchange at Exit 182 to continue their journey south.

The speed limit near the interchange will be reduced, and a width restriction of 14 feet will be enforced during this period. The entire project is anticipated to conclude by late October.
