Motorcycle crash claims life on Highway 22 near Killdeer

On May 31, 2025, a fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Highway 22 near mile marker 123, north of Killdeer. The incident took place at approximately 1:15 PM Mountain Time.

The road conditions were dry and the weather was clear and sunny at the time of the crash. The accident involved a single motorcycle, specifically a 2010 Harley Davidson, which failed to negotiate a curve and overturned.

The driver, a 71-year-old male from Gardner, North Dakota, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. No charges have been filed in connection with this incident.

Agencies that responded to the scene included the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), Killdeer Area Ambulance, Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, and West Dunn Fire Department. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the crash.
