Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring is set to host the Midwestern Association of State Departments of Agriculture's (MASDA) Annual Meeting from June 29 to July 2, 2025, in Medora, North Dakota. The meeting will focus on the intersection of agriculture and energy, bringing together state and federal officials along with leaders from both industries.

MASDA is a regional branch of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA), which includes commissioners, secretaries, and directors from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. All NASDA members across all fifty states and four U.S. territories have been invited to attend.

"This annual regional event gathers key staff from the Midwest’s 13 state departments of agriculture for educational discussions on relevant agricultural topics," said Goehring. "We’ll be having presentations and tours about agriculture and energy and how they work together to grow our economy and create sustainable solutions for North Dakota."
