NDDOT seeks input on new transit plan in proposed STIP amendment

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has announced it is seeking public comments on a proposed amendment to the 2025-2028 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The amendment would add a new project for 2025, the Statewide Coordinated Public Transit Human Service Plan and Intercity Bus Plan, with an estimated total cost of $236,769.

Community members can review the current STIP by visiting the NDDOT’s website at www.dot.nd.gov. To access the document, users should select “Construction & Planning,” then “Transportation Plans & Programs,” and finally click on the “Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) 2025-28” link.

Comments regarding this amendment must be submitted by October 1, 2025. They can be mailed to Michael Wilz at NDDOT, 608 E Boulevard Ave., Bismarck, ND 58505-0700, or sent via email to mwilz@nd.gov with “2025 State Federal-Aid Projects” in the subject line.

“The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting.”
