NDCA TEAM UPDATE!
Jessica Hawkes joined us on June 30th to help with temporary staffing shortages. We are thankful for the assistance with productivity and excited for the opportunity to work with, and get to know, someone representing another area of our state - New Rockford!
Jessica Hawkes is a writer, editor, artist, performer, and “mom” to the 100+ residents of the Hawkes Homestead Animal Sanctuary. She is a fifth-generation North Dakotan who has led or served more than a dozen nonprofit organizations in the New Rockford and Fargo areas. Jessica graduated from NDSU with BA degrees in Spanish and French, and was recently accepted into graduate school at King’s College London, to pursue her MA in Global Cultures. She also collects hobbies, including knitting, papermaking, bookmaking, reading, cribbage, candlemaking, sewing, stiltwalking, international travel, the NYT crossword puzzle, and playing guitar.
Prairie Public recently produced a podcast highlighting Jessica's animal sanctuary. Check it out: https://news.prairiepublic.org/.../hawkes-homestead...
