In 1976, the Arbor Day Foundation started the Tree City USA program, a recognition-based initiative to encourage cities across the country to plant more trees and bring their benefits to residents. We currently have 54 Tree City USA communities in North Dakota, and we would love to see the program grow! We would love to see every city across North Dakota be a thriving member of the Tree City USA community.
