Representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Omaha District and FEMA Region VIII stopped by the State Emergency Operations Center yesterday at Fraine Barracks in Bismarck to visit with state agency representatives, including NDDES, about preparation for potential spring flooding. The group met to discuss authorities and resources applicable to flood prevention, response and recovery. This was a routine event held each year before spring to meet with agency counterparts and exchange information. Some of the topics discussed included emergency management, levee safety, plan formulation and project management and regulatory guidance.
