Senator John Hoeven of North Dakota issued a statement today in honor of Veterans Day, acknowledging the contributions and sacrifices of servicemembers and their families. As a member of both the Senate Defense and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Committees, Hoeven emphasized his commitment to supporting veterans.

"Today and every day, we are indebted to our servicemembers and veterans in North Dakota and across this nation, as well as their families, who serve alongside them. We cannot thank enough these great American heroes who have fought to protect our nation," said Hoeven. "I remain committed to ensuring veterans receive the recognition, benefits and care they’ve earned. God bless our veterans, their families and this great nation."

Hoeven highlighted several initiatives aimed at improving veteran services. These include advocating for expanded healthcare options such as long-term care within local communities across North Dakota, ensuring accessible care for veterans regardless of location. He also mentioned legislative efforts focused on providing healthcare and benefits for veterans affected by toxic exposure from all service eras.

Additionally, Hoeven has worked towards enhancing veterans cemeteries to better honor those who have served. This includes improvements at sites like the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery and Fargo National Cemetery.
