North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced early closures for its offices in Fargo, Jamestown, and Valley City due to weather-related road conditions. The affected offices will close at 3 p.m. CDT on December 19.
Individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis are advised to contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline for immediate assistance.
In the Fargo region, the Southeast Human Service Center along with regional vocational rehabilitation and child support offices will close early. Similarly, in the Jamestown region, the South Central Human Service Center and associated offices, including SCHSC’s outreach office in Valley City, will also close at 3 p.m.
The North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown will remain open and is not impacted by these closures.
These decisions prioritize the safety of clients and team members and are consistent with other community clinics and government organizations' responses to current conditions.
