The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has released the 2025-2028 Final Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). This program outlines transportation improvements to be funded with federal highway and transit funds over the next four years. The improvements cover state and county highways, urban streets, roadway safety features, bikeways, and busing programs.

An electronic version of the STIP can be accessed on the NDDOT website under "Construction & Planning" and "Transportation Plans & Programs." Physical copies are available for viewing at district offices or can be requested from the NDDOT Programming Division.

As preparations begin for the 2026-2029 STIP, public comments are being solicited until February 18, 2025. The Bismarck-Mandan, Grand Forks-East Grand Forks, and Central Dakota urban area projects are being developed by local Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO), while the Fargo-Moorhead area projects are handled by the local Transportation Management Area (TMA).

For comments or project suggestions, individuals should contact their district engineer, county engineer, MPO, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), or other relevant agencies.
