Today, Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak from North Dakota attended an event at the White House, joining President Donald Trump and a group of women leaders, including Congress members, cabinet secretaries, and senators, to celebrate Women’s History Month and mark the inauguration of the GOP Women’s Caucus. The initiative is led by Congresswoman Kat Cammack of Florida and Senator Katie Britt of Alabama and aims to promote the leadership of Republican women and advance conservative policies.
Fedorchak emphasized the role women have played historically in families and communities, remarking, “Women have always played a pivotal role in our families and communities. And today a record number of women are leading President Trump’s cabinet.” She also stated the significance of the event, “Today was a celebration of the power of our voices and the major influence women are having in fixing the disasters created by the last administration that crushed our families and communities.” She further elaborated on the purpose of the caucus to address issues that affect women, such as job creation, cost reduction, safety improvement, peace promotion, education advancement, and excellence.
The GOP Women’s Caucus intends to enhance the presence of Republican women in Congress, focusing on legislative priorities that benefit women and families, and to collaborate with the Trump administration on policies that reflect conservative values.
Fedorchak also spoke with Secretary of Education Linda McMahon and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins at the event, extending an invitation to Secretary Rollins to visit North Dakota. Fedorchak praised Rollins, “Secretary Rollins is a strong conservative leader. She is rapidly implementing policies to help producers innovate, address challenges, and mitigate temporary losses from tariffs.” She noted that these efforts have already led to significant economic results, such as a notable decrease in wholesale egg prices.
Earlier in the year, Fedorchak supported several pro-women and pro-family legislative measures alongside her House Republican colleagues. These include the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, the Laken Riley Act, and the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act.
