Registration is now open for the 5th annual Behavioral Health & Children and Family Services Conference, set to take place from October 20-23 at the Bismarck Event Center and online via livestream. The event provides a platform for professionals in behavioral health and child welfare across North Dakota to connect, learn, network, and share best practices.

Preconference sessions are scheduled for October 20, with the main conference commencing on Tuesday, October 21. Those encouraged to attend include behavioral health and child welfare professionals, service providers, foster and adoptive parents, kinship caregivers, educators, law enforcement officers, healthcare providers, tribal leaders, faith leaders, and others committed to community well-being.

The registration fee is $200 for general attendees and $50 for university students, kinship caregivers (relative homes), and foster or adoptive parents. On-site registration will be available. Efforts are being made to secure continuing education units for various professional disciplines.

Keynote speakers at the conference include Lara Love Hardin—a literary agent, author, prison reform advocate—and David Ambroz—a national poverty and child welfare expert recognized by President Obama as an American Champion of Change. Jessica Lahey will also speak on learning science and substance use prevention.

Opportunities are available for those interested in sponsoring the conference.

The event will take place at the Bismarck Event Center located at 315 Fifth St., Bismarck.
