The pronghorn hunting season for 2025 has been scheduled with a total of 1,310 licenses available across 18 units. This marks an increase of 45 licenses compared to the previous year. All traditional units will have licenses available, and a new unit, 17A, covering Emmons County and parts of Logan and McIntosh counties west of ND Highway 3, will also be open.
Each unit will feature a split season consisting of an early bow-only period followed by a gun/bow season. The bow-only segment is set from August 29 at noon until September 21. Hunters who draw a license are permitted to hunt pronghorn using bows in the designated unit printed on their license.
The subsequent gun/bow season runs from October 3 at noon through October 19. During this time, hunters holding valid licenses may use legal firearms or archery equipment but must remain within their assigned unit.
