Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway will be closed overnight between the north Interstate 94 ramps and Trenton Drive on Tuesday, August 19. The closure is scheduled to occur between 12:30 a.m. and 5 a.m., lasting up to 30 minutes, while crews install a new overhead sign structure.
During this period, flaggers will be present to direct traffic. There will be no detour provided, so motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to use alternate routes during the closure window.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speed in the work zone and remain alert for construction crews and equipment.
The closure is part of the ongoing I-94 Exit 161 Interchange project, which started in spring 2024 and is expected to continue through summer 2026. The project aims to improve traffic flow by removing two left-turn movements and adding right-turn loops for more efficient travel.
"NDDOT appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this essential infrastructure project moves forward."
