Construction work on Pacific Avenue in Medora will resume on Thursday, September 4, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT). The ongoing project is expected to affect both traffic and parking in the area.

The NDDOT has advised attendees of the upcoming Hot Air Balloon Rally, which takes place during the weekend of September 6, not to park within construction zones.

The scope of work includes upgrades to storm sewer drains, improvements for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance at curbs and sidewalks, and enhancements to street lighting. These efforts are intended to improve visibility and safety in Medora’s city center.

According to the NDDOT, "The Medora Business Loop and City Section project represents a significant investment in Medora’s infrastructure as the city prepares for increased visitors with the grand opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. The NDDOT is committed to transparency and will keep the public informed as the project progresses."
