U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) has announced that U.S. Secretary of Transportation and National Aeronautics and Space Administration Interim Administrator Sean Duffy will be a featured speaker at the upcoming Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Summit and Expo in Grand Forks on October 14. Duffy, who previously served as a U.S. Representative from Wisconsin between 2011 and 2019, is also known for his experience as a District Attorney and television host.
The summit, now in its 19th year, gathers policymakers and industry leaders from across the globe to discuss current regulatory, economic, and technological developments in the unmanned aerial systems sector.
Senator Cramer highlighted North Dakota’s role in this field: “North Dakota is the epicenter of the unmanned technology industry, which now stretches from the skies above North Dakota’s farms to the edge of space above our adversaries,” he said. “Given the globe-spanning reach of today’s unmanned aerial systems, we couldn’t ask for a better guest than Secretary and Administrator Duffy to attend the UAS Summit. I look forward to sharing with him our vision for the future of unmanned systems.”
