The City of West Fargo has scheduled a public information meeting to discuss proposed infrastructure improvements in the River’s Bend neighborhood. The event will take place on Thursday, October 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Harvest Room, located on the first floor of the Rustad Recreation Center at 601 26th Ave in West Fargo.

The project involves building a multiuse path and a pedestrian bridge over the Sheyenne River. This new infrastructure aims to connect the existing multiuse path from Sheyenne Street directly to the River’s Bend neighborhood.

During the meeting, which will follow an open house format with a formal presentation at 5:30 p.m., representatives from both the City of West Fargo and HDR Engineering Inc. will be available to answer questions and address concerns from residents.

A pre-recorded presentation along with additional materials related to the project will be accessible on the City of West Fargo’s Engineering website at westfargond.gov/riversbendpath.

For those unable to attend, written comments can be submitted by mail or email. All comments must be postmarked or emailed by November 14 and should include “Public Input Meeting - PCN 24260” in either the letter heading or email subject line. Comments should be sent to Brian King; HDR Project Manager; 51 Broadway N, Suite 550; Fargo, ND 58102 or brian.j.king@hdrinc.com.

The city has stated its commitment to accessibility for all participants: “The City of West Fargo will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting.”
