On August 15, the Hess Corporation notified state agencies of a produced water spill in Williams County resulting from a pipeline leak. The spill occurred approximately 8 miles northwest of Ray. Hess initially estimated approximately 200 barrels (8,400 gallons) of produced water released. Following additional investigation, Hess increased that estimate today to 34,000 barrels (1.4 million gallons). Read more at
